The crises sparked by the COVID-19 pandemic spurred African philanthropists to give more (seven times the annual average in prior decade), and to give through different vehicles. We are shifting into a new era for philanthropy, and corporate social investment, in Kenya as well. To fully capitalize on the catalytic impact Corporate Social Investing (CSI) can create, we need a supportive regulatory and policy investment. In the inaugural event by Impact Philanthropy Africa, key thought leaders across policy, research and funding will share their perspective on the state of the sector, and emerging opportunities to scale corporate giving. The virtual conference will be a launchpad to co-create the Forum’s advocacy priorities over the next year.
