Health and education have been the main priorities of the foundation since inception. Education is close to the family’s heart as the family generations witnessed the struggle of their parents who could not read, write nor speak English while health because the family has often seen the impact that poor health has on a family’s ability to support itself and prosper. These projects allow the Chandaria family to create a legacy not only for healthier and better educated Kenyans, but also to inspire a new generation of business leaders with skills and motivation to meet societal challenges.
The Foundation is predominantly a grant maker. However, in exceptional circumstances it steps in in different capacity and supports various Corporate Social Investments (CSI) initiatives by other organizations that hold similar values.
