The company’s CSI efforts expanded through the establishment of the KenGen Foundation in 2012, purposely to serve as the vehicle for implementing the company’s CSR programmes.
The KenGen Foundation focuses the company’s efforts on three key pillars of sustainability namely Education, Environment and Water & Sanitation. These compliment Kenya’s Vision 2030 and the global Sustainable Development Goals. In addition, Kengen Foundation also supports community projects in economic empowerment, health, sports and culture and humanitarian aid.
