In 2010, the TradeMark East Africa (TMEA) provided a grant for EAAG to undertake a review of the tax policies related to philanthropy in all the 5 partner states in East Africa. This publication is a summary of the report of the said tax policy review. The publication has provided a summary of information obtained in respect of the philanthropy related tax policies in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi. This is part of our efforts aimed at creating awareness on the subject of philanthropy and the general environment in which East Africa Philanthropy operates.
